Examination Requirements & Expenses

Most students must pass one or two examinations to qualify for an athletic scholarship.

If you have never studied at a university, most American schools will require you to:
•  Take the SAT or ACT exam.
•  Also take the IELTS or TOEFL exam.

If you are a university student before going to the USA:
•  You will not need to take the SAT or ACT exam.
•  The IELTS or TOEFL might be necessary.

Some junior colleges and NAIA universities require no exams.

When American coaches contact you, ask them about the exams and scores their schools require.  It’s an important question!  Each school has its own rules.
