NCAA Eligibility Center

To receive a scholarship at an NCAA Division I or Division II university, you’ll need to register with the NCAA Eligibility Center.  The process will take some time, but it’s a necessary step in the bureaucracy of American sports.  The cost is $120 (USD).

Soon after you begin communicating with universities, you should register with the NCAA:

In the top-right corner, click "New Account," and follow the instructions.

The NCAA will ask you many questions.  Be careful with your answers, especially about your volleyball experience.  The NCAA uses words like "professional" and "expenses" differently from how other people use them.  It's no problem if a team paid for your travel, food and other costs.  But the questions are confusing, and they can stop you from getting a scholarship.

You also will need to send your school records to the NCAA by post.  These are documents from your high school (or university) with information about your studies.  The NCAA also will ask for English translations of the same documents.

AVSR Global will be glad to help you with the NCAA's questions and requirements.
