Each week of the spring and fall seasons, one player who was originally reported as a recruit by AVSR Global is named Player of the Week for an exceptional performance.

Fall Week #1: Andrea Tsvetanova

Latest Action:

• Tsvetanova leads NCAA Division I in ace serves this season, and she ranks third in assists. She has scored 50 aces with only 25 errors.
• Last week Tsvetanova was MVP of the Liberty University tournament, guiding Coppin State over Eastern Michigan, Radford and Liberty.
• Coppin (9-6) has won seven consecutive matches. Tsvetanova is atop the Mid-Eastern Conference in assists for the second year in a row.
• Coppin is aiming for its first MEAC championship since joining the league in 1989. The Eagles placed third last season.
• Tsvetanova led the nation’s junior colleges in assists as a sophomore. She guided Western Nebraska to the NJCAA championship tourney.
• Tsvetanova has been a world traveler since birth, as her mother was a professional setter. Their homes included Spain, Poland, Russia, Turkey, Germany, Cyprus, Azerbaijan and their native Bulgaria.
• Tsvetanova’s setting career started in 2008 with Anorthosis Famagusta of Cyprus. She played more recently for CSKA Sofia of Bulgaria.
