Spring Week #7: Liisel Nelis

Latest Action:
• Nelis returned to Estonia’s national team this month after COVID-19 stopped play for Degerfors Volley Orion in Sweden’s Division 1.
• She had joined Degerfors in January after closing her American career last December in the NCAA Championship tournament.
• Nelis powered Sacred Heart last fall to the Northeast Conference title. She won first-team all-NEC honors for the second year in a row, ranking among the league leaders in kills, digs and aces.
• Nelis last appeared on Estonia’s national team in January 2019, during the European Championship qualification round.
• Before her career in Connecticut at Sacred Heart, Nelis competed for Estonia’s national program as a beach and indoor player.
