Spring Week #3: Yael Benjamin

• Benjamin was Ra’anana’s top attacker through a three-match stretch before COVID-19 stopped Israel’s Premier League in mid-March.
• This is Benjamin’s third year with Maccabi Ra’anana since graduating from Southern Illinois. She competes also for Israel’s national team.
• Before her American collegiate career, Benjamin served for two years in the Israel Defense Forces, fulfilling her duty as an Israeli citizen.
• Benjamin first trained with Israel’s junior national team at age 14. She started competing on women’s club teams at age 15.
• Before taking up volleyball, Benjamin trained in ballet and basketball.
