Fall 2019 Week #13: Liisel Nelis

Last Week:

• Nelis powered Sacred Heart to the Northeast Conference championship title and a berth in the NCAA post-season tournament.
• Sacred Heart routed Long Island 3-0 in the NEC tourney semifinals, then swept Central Connecticut 3-0 for the title.
• Nelis scored tourney-high totals of 24 kills, 26 digs and three ace serves. She was best in the final, posting 15 digs and 13 kills at .333 efficiency.
• This season Nelis ranked among the NEC leaders in kills, digs and aces. She won first-team all-NEC honors for the second year in a row.
• Before she arrived in Connecticut Nelis competed for Estonia’s national teams as a beach and indoor player.
