Fall 2019 Week #12: Stela Velinova

Campbellsville University (Kentucky).

Mid-South Conference, NAIA.

Sophomore. 6'0" Middle Blocker/Opposite.

Last Week:

• Velinova led Campbellsville at the Mid-South Conference finals. She scored 25 kills at .396 efficiency in two tournament matches.
• The Tigers eliminated Pikeville 3-0, then fell in the quarterfinals to eventual tourney champion Lindsey Wilson 3-1.
• Velinova was Campbellsville’s top attacker in both matches.
• For the season Velinova led Campbellsville in hitting efficiency with a .278 mark, switching between middle and opposite.
• Velinova transferred to Campbellsville this year after her freshman year at Yavapai College in Arizona.
• In Bulgaria Velinova played for Sofia’s Central Police Volleyball Club.
