Each week of the spring and fall seasons, one player who was originally reported as a recruit by AVSR Global is named Player of the Week for an exceptional performance.

Fall Week #5: Naina Ivanova

Stetson University (DeLand, Florida)

Reported to coaches by AVSR Global in 2016.

Sophomore.  5'10" Setter.

Latest Action:

• Ivanova has led Stetson to its best start of a season since 1996.
• The Hatters are 9-4 after defeating Jacksonville 3-1 last week in their Atlantic Sun league opener. Ivanova scored 43 assists and 18 digs.
• Ivanova has been in Stetson’s starting lineup in every set since she arrived last year as a freshman.
• For Bulgaria’s junior national team Ivanova played outside hitter, libero and setter. She also played middle blocker for the Zvezdi 94 club.
• She competed as a swimmer before focusing on volleyball.
• Ivanova’s father, Galin Ivanov, played Major League Soccer for D.C. United in Washington. He now coaches pro soccer in Bulgaria.
