Player of the Week: December 4, 2017

Each week of the spring and fall seasons, one player who was originally reported as a recruit by AVSR Global is named Player of the Week for an exceptional performance.

Week #15: Radi Marinova

Long Beach State University.

Big West Conference, NCAA Division I.

Reported to coaches in 2016 by AVSR Global.

Freshman.  6'1" Middle Blocker/Opposite.

Last Week:

• The Big West Conference named Marinova to its All-Freshman Team.
• Marinova was Long Beach State’s top freshman this year and the only one selected for the league’s All-Freshman Team.
• Long Beach State placed fifth in the Big West standings this season.
• Marinova will switch to the beach courts next semester. LBSU is a perennial beach power. It won the national championship in 2013.
• In Bulgaria Marinova competed for the country’s junior national team. She trained in rhythmic gymnastics before taking up volleyball.
