2013 Week #1: Jelena Cobanovic

Last Week’s Action:

• Cobanovic led Northeastern with 51 digs in four dominant wins. The Plainswomen beat Colby, Sheridan, Williston State, and Eastern Wyoming at the North Platte Invitational.
• NJC is bidding to regain a Top 20 ranking after slipping from the nation’s elite last year.
• It’s Cobanovic’s first season at Northeastern after a year at Southwestern Christian College. She’s been the starting libero instantly for both teams.
• Two other Serbian liberos are on American teams after being reported by AVSR Global. Aleksandra Petronijevic is a junior at Memphis. Milica Stamenic is a Clemson freshman.
