Examination Requirements & Expenses
Most students must pass one or two examinations to qualify for an athletic scholarship.
If you have never studied at a university, most American schools will require that you:
•Take the SAT or ACT exam.
•Also take the IELTS, TOEFL, ACTFL or other English proficiency exam.
If you are a university student in your own country before going to the USA, you will not need to take the SAT or ACT exams.
For some junior colleges and NAIA universities, you will not need to take any exams.
When American coaches contact you, ask them about the exams and the exam scores their schools require! Every college and university has its own rules.
