About the Editor
Bill Feldman has built a distinguished career in finding, evaluating, and reporting on volleyball players for American university teams. He has set the highest professional standards as an authority on the connection between elite players and opportunities in the USA.
As a reporter, writer, and talent scout, Bill has covered volleyball for USA Today, Volleyball Magazine, American Volleyball, and a wide range of national, regional, and international media. His integrity and precision as a journalist are respected by trainers, managers, players, and their families.
Before scouting internationally, Bill was a long-time expert on American junior volleyball. His annual high school All-America teams and weekly national rankings were the most respected of their kind, and his "Super 75," "Fab 50," and "Top 10" recruiting projections proved to be remarkably accurate year after year.
Chicago was Bill’s original home in journalism. Working as a reporter for the Chicago Sun-Times newspaper, Bill created Volleyball Chicago Magazine, built it into Midwest Volleyball, then became editor of American Volleyball, the voice of the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
A master’s degree in Education and bachelor’s degree in English add depth to Bill’s scouting insights, reporting skills, and support for young athletes. His dedication and experience provide players and coaches with opportunities and information they can find nowhere else.
