2015 Sand Week #8: Anete Brinke
Long Beach State University
Reported to coaches in 2013 by AVSR Global.
Home: Riga, Latvia.
6'2" Freshman.
Indoor Positions: Outside Hitter, Middle Blocker.

Last Week:
• Brinke completed her sparkling year as the country’s most successful sand-and-indoor freshman. She lifted Long Beach to a second-place finish at the national championships.
• Brinke and Tyler Jackson won four playoff matches as Long Beach’s No. 2 pair. They beat Hawaii, Pepperdine, Florida International, and eventual champion Southern California.
• Brinke ranked second on her team this season in blocks, kills, and hitting efficiency.
• As an indoor player, Brinke was a starting passer-hitter for Long Beach last fall. The 49ers were perfect in the Big West Conference with a 16-0 record.
