Each week of the spring and fall seasons, one player who was originally reported as a recruit by AVSR Global is named Player of the Week for an exceptional performance.

Fall Week #8: Fernanda Güitrón Topete

Last Week:

• Güitrón sparkled in a win over Mississippi State. She attacked at .667 efficiency, and Arkansas climbed to a 2-5 record in the SEC.
• The left-hander has surged during the mid-season. In the Razorbacks’ past four matches Güitrón has scored 26 kills at a .307 rate.
• Before her Arkansas career Güitrón played for Mexico’s national teams at both the women’s and junior levels.
• She spent her last two years of high school away from home, living in Tijuana and training at Mexico’s High Performance Center.
