Player of the Week: October 9, 2017

Each week of the spring and fall seasons, one player who was originally reported as a recruit by AVSR Global is named Player of the Week for an exceptional performance.

Fall Week #7: Eva Deisa

Stetson University.

Atlantic Sun Conference, NCAA Division I.

Sophomore.  5'11" Outside Hitter.

Last Week:

• Deisa led Stetson to two victories in the Atlantic Sun Conference. She scored 28 kills and 28 digs in wins over NJIT and USC Upstate.
• Deisa has been Stetson’s top attacker all season. She also leads the Hatters in ace serves, and she ranks second in digs.
• Stetson moved to fourth place in the Atlantic Sun. The top six teams will qualify for the league’s championship tourney next month.
• Deisa competed for Latvia’s beach and indoor junior national teams.

Last Week:  San Jose State climbed to second place in the Mountain West, defeating New Mexico after falling to UNLV. Parts’s first year in the lineup is San Jose State’s best since 2001. The Spartans are 12-5 this season.
