2015 Week #1: Gabriela Nieto Gomez

Last Week:

• Nieto scored 17 blocks in three matches as Jacksonville won twice at Auburn’s tourney.
• The Dolphins defeated Samford and Stephen F. Austin and fell to Auburn.
• Nieto was Jacksonville’s top blocker and cleanest hitter, attacking at .259 efficiency.
• Jacksonville won the Atlantic Sun Conference championship the past two years. Nieto finished last season strong, hitting .352 in three A-Sun playoff victories.

Last Week:  New Mexico State’s top passer-hitter scored 44 digs at the Air Force tournament. The Aggies whipped Northeastern, Montana and Air Force, losing only to Arizona State.

Manhattan College

Junior, 6'2" Middle Blocker.
Last Week:  Kostic, a transfer from UMBC, led Manhattan in blocks and hitting efficiency in her debut weekend. The Jaspers won three of four matches at the Towson tournament.
