2014 Sand Week #9: Zuzana Markova

Last Week’s Action:
• Markova won All-America honors at the national championships for the second consecutive year. She reached the quarterfinals of the pairs tourney, teaming with Marcela Araya.
• Markova is the only ULM volleyball player ever to win two All-America awards.
• She transformed the Warhawks’ indoor team as a setter-hitter. ULM had lost 40 consecutive matches in two years before Markova arrived, then posted a 10-16 mark in her first season.
• Markova’s next role will be as a graduate assistant coach at ULM.
